
Colleen M. Schaller has been an associate with Howson & Howson LLP since 2008. Her strong adversarial writing skills have led her to focus on a successful Appeal practice. Colleen also counsels individuals and small businesses on all matters related to intellectual property including trademark and copyright issues, contract advice and due diligence practice.
Prior to her entry into intellectual property law, Ms. Schaller worked as a research associate for a biotechnology firm, where she carried out drug discovery research to identify small molecules affecting therapeutic targets in cancer biology, inflammation, Alzheimer’s disease and HIV/AIDS via novel RNA-based mechanisms. Her time in the lab has provided Ms. Schaller with a practical approach to her patent practice.

Ms. Schaller is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Education and Associations
Ms. Schaller earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Delaware in 2000 and received her Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2008.

Ms. Schaller’s practice is focused on domestic and foreign patent procurement in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and chemistry fields. In addition, she regularly practices in the field of the mechanical arts, including medical devices.
